The Bridge radio station began when Pastor Lloyd Pulley, Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Old Bridge, prayed for God to open the door for a station dedicated to sound Bible teaching. Pastor Lloyd’s radio program, Bridging the Gap, had been on another prominent NY Christian talk radio station since the early 1990s, therefore he understood the tremendous impact radio could have.

The Bridge went live on the air for the first time on June 27, 2003, and since the station’s coverage has expanded all the way to New York City and thousands of online listeners countrywide.

Two short years later, the Lord put it on the heart of The Bridge staff to host a beach festival in Ocean Grove, NJ designed to draw people closer to the Lord through teaching and worship music. In June 2005, The Bridge hosted YESS Festival with Audio Adrenaline and Falling Up as the featured bands with Pastor Pancho Juarez delivering a Gospel-centered message at the end of the night. YESS Festival made a tremendous impact in the hearts and minds of many prompting The Bridge to continue hosting the annual festival for over 15 years with one small change; the festival was renamed Bridgefest. Bridgefest has seen many tremendous moments over the years, from rededications to first time commitments to the Lord.
